John Dowling Photography has been serving the corporate, advertising, and editorial markets in Central New York since 1981. Specializing in assignment and stock photography on location and in the studio, John brings the highest level of technique and artistic expression to every assignment. A former staff photographer for the Syracuse Post Standard, John has a Masters degree in Photojournalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. His resume includes experience as Art Director for the Syracuse city magazine and as the Carrier Dome photographer where he covered SU football, basketball, and numerous concerts. Assignments for Black Star, a New York based photo agency, have added some impressive names to his list of satisfied clients and publication credits including; Subaru, General Motors, DuPont, Corning Glass, HBJ Publishing, Sports Illustrated, and Newsweek.
John's stock photo file has been a source of images used to market the Central New York area for tourism, economic development, and corporate recruiting and have appeared in the New York State Travel Guide, various magazines, airport displays, and trade shows. In recent years the file has expanded to include travel photos from the American West, California, Oregon, New England, Florida, England, Scotland, Italy, and Paris, France.
